Frequently asked questions about the digital Advent calendar

General questions

Is support included in the price? When do additional costs apply?

Support for setting up and creating your campaign is included in the price. Any changes or adjustments requested after the initial setup will be charged separately.

What does the administration tool look like?

You can explore the administration tool in your personal demo campaign and test all features yourself.

How are winners selected?

You can export participant data and select winners yourself. Alternatively, we can run the price  draw for you. Winners are selected at random, based on the participation and selection criteria you define.

Where is my campaign hosted?

The campaigns are hosted by us (on the REDCODE.DE server cluster).

Can access to my campaign be restricted?

Yes. Access can be restricted (e.g., for internal campaigns) via password protection or IP restrictions. These options are not included in the base package and can be added on request.

How is data protection handled?

In the admin panel, we provide template texts for privacy notices. Please note that REDCODE.DE does not assume liability or provide any warranty for these templates, and they do not constitute legal advice. You remain responsible for ensuring your campaign complies with applicable data protection requirements; we provide the necessary tools and settings to support your implementation.

Are all contents responsive?

Yes. All landing pages and apps are optimized for mobile devices and work on most common everyday devices.

How can I edit my content?

In your campaign dashboard, you can manage individual doors, select apps, and—where available—configure content using the built-in editor.
 If the editor is not available for your campaign, please contact our Support team. We can usually enable it the same business day.

Can I embed videos in the doors?

Yes. You can embed YouTube or Vimeo videos directly in a Promotion door and play them there. Select the video type (YouTube or Vimeo) and enter the embed ID.

Can I add images to the doors?

Yes. You can upload and use images in Promotion doors and other apps as well. If you need help, please feel free to ask us directly.

Can I add text to the doors?

Yes. You can customize text as needed and use it in custom apps within your doors. If you’d like, we can support you with the implementation.

Can I add links to the doors?

Yes. Many apps support adding links, including the Promotion door. If you need assistance, please feel free to ask us directly.

Questions about the digital Advent calendar

Can I combine multiple packages?

Yes. Services from different packages can be combined flexibly. We’ll be happy to advise you and provide a tailored quote.

How much does the digital Advent Calendar cost?

Prices start at €249.00. If you require additional services such as brand/CI design adjustments or custom content, we’ll be happy to provide an individual offer.

How do prizedraw work in the Advent Calendar?

You can turn almost any door (e.g., Quiz, Match Pairs) into a prizedraw by enabling a registration form. You can download participant data and select winners yourself—or we can run the prizedraw draw for you upon request. Alternatively, you can link to a prizedraw hosted on your own website.

How many prizedraw doors are possible?

There is no fixed limit. Typically, one registration form is used per prizedraw door.

Is there a deadline to decide/order?

There is no fixed deadline. Orders are generally possible on short notice (e.g., up to 30 November or even in December). For customizations, we recommend starting as early as possible.

How long will the Advent Calendar remain online?

By default, the Advent Calendar remains available until January. The availability period can be defined flexibly according to your requirements.

How do I embed the Advent Calendar in my website?

Embedding is possible on nearly any website: you can either link to the calendar or integrate it via iFrame or script. You’ll find the required embed information in your admin panel under “Preview & Publishing”. We’re happy to support you if needed.

Can it be embedded in WordPress or TYPO3?

Yes. Embedding in WordPress and TYPO3 websites is straightforward.

How much time should I plan for setup and configuration?

For a simple calendar, many customers need 20Min. If you plan lots of content, many door apps, or individual customizations, setup can take longer.

What does a custom landing page look like?

Depending on the scope you choose, anything from adjustments to your logo, colors, and images to a fully custom-designed landing page is possible. If you’d like to get a feel for it, you can test this in a demo campaign.
